Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor
HUMAN NEUROSCIENCE
The interdepartmental Brain Science Program of Brown University (website: http://brainscience.brown.edu) seeks a faculty member with experience and research interests in human neuroscience for a tenured/tenure-track position in one of the related constituent departments in the Brain Science Program. Candidates should have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent and research experience in areas related to human neuroscience. Applicants should have a strong background in fundamental neuroscience and basic science approaches. The successful applicant will exhibit a commitment towards bridging areas of research strength within the Brown brain science community as well as maintaining a laboratory-based research program. The research area must have potential for translational collaborations. Particular consideration will be given to applicants whose major research interests focus on one of the following areas: 1) human development; 2) affective, addictive or anxiety disorders; 3) aging or neurodegenerative disorders. Candidates should have a broad teaching ability in the brain sciences at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and an interest in contributing to multidisciplinary research and education. Candidates will be expected to have technical expertise in MRI, DTI, and/or genomics/proteomics that will allow collaborative interactions using these techniques between basic and hospital-based faculty. The successful candidate must be qualified to develop an externally funded research program and contribute to the educational and training missions of Brown University at the undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate levels.
